1. Who we are

Blazewing ("we", "us", or "our") provides a software service that helps businesses create, schedule, and publish content to social media platforms (including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube), and related tools such as competitor insights and SEO suggestions.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use https://blazewinghq.com and related Blazewing applications, why we collect it, and what rights you have.

2. Data we collect

Depending on how you use Blazewing, we may process:

  • Account data: name, email address, password (stored securely by our authentication provider), and workspace/organization details you provide.
  • Connected social accounts: when you connect platforms such as Google/YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram, we receive access tokens (and refresh tokens where provided) and basic profile, Company Page, or channel identifiers needed to publish content on your behalf.
  • Google / YouTube data: if you connect YouTube, we may access your YouTube channel identity and the permissions you grant (for example viewing your YouTube account and managing/uploading videos you choose to publish through Blazewing).
  • Content you create: drafts, captions, hashtags, media, schedules, and publish history stored in your workspace.
  • Billing data: subscription status and related identifiers via our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers on Blazewing servers).
  • Usage and technical data: IP address, browser/device information, and basic logs needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • Support communications: messages you send us by email or in-app.

3. How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • Create and manage your Blazewing account and workspace
  • Connect your social accounts and publish or schedule posts you authorize
  • Upload and manage YouTube videos/Shorts that you create or schedule in Blazewing, when you connect a YouTube channel
  • Provide AI-assisted drafting and analysis features when you choose to use them
  • Process subscriptions and send billing-related notices
  • Send transactional emails (for example account, security, or publish notices)
  • Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues
  • Improve the product and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your social content to train third-party public AI models for unrelated purposes.

4. Google API / YouTube Limited Use

Blazewing's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

In particular, Google / YouTube user data we receive is used only to:

  • Identify the YouTube channel you connect
  • Upload, update, or manage videos you explicitly create or schedule in Blazewing
  • Maintain and secure that connection (including token refresh)

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized AI/ML models. We do not transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to operate Blazewing (for example our hosting/database providers under contract) or as required by law.

5. Legal bases (EEA/UK/Sweden)

Where GDPR applies, we process data based on:

  • Contract: to provide the service you signed up for
  • Legitimate interests: to secure, operate, and improve Blazewing
  • Consent: where required (for example connecting Google/YouTube or other social accounts, optional features, or certain cookies), which you can withdraw at any time
  • Legal obligation: when we must retain or disclose data by law

6. Third-party services

We use trusted service providers to operate Blazewing. They only process data as needed to deliver their service to us, such as:

  • Hosting and application delivery (for example Vercel)
  • Database, authentication, and file storage (for example Supabase)
  • Payments and subscriptions (for example Stripe)
  • Optional AI features for content generation and analysis
  • Transactional email delivery
  • Social platforms you choose to connect, including Google/YouTube, LinkedIn, and Meta (Facebook/Instagram). Their own privacy policies also apply when you authorize those connections.

7. Social platform connections & revocation

When you connect a social account, page, Company Page, or YouTube channel, Blazewing requests only the permissions needed to perform the actions you initiate (such as reading basic identity/channel info and publishing content you create). Access tokens are stored encrypted and used on your behalf until you disconnect the account or revoke access.

You can revoke access at any time by:

  • Disconnecting the account in Blazewing under Connected accounts
  • For Google/YouTube: removing Blazewing access in your Google Account → Third-party access
  • Using the equivalent disconnect or app-permission settings on LinkedIn or Meta

When you disconnect or revoke access, we remove or stop using the related tokens for that connection.

8. International data transfers

Blazewing is operated from Sweden. Some service providers (for example hosting, authentication, payments, or Google APIs) may process data in the United States or other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the provider's equivalent transfer mechanisms.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

We use essential cookies and similar technologies for authentication, security, and to keep you signed in. We may also use basic analytics or preference settings where needed to operate the product. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent login or core features from working.

10. Data retention

We keep account and workspace data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must retain some information for legal, security, or dispute-resolution reasons. Connected-platform tokens are removed when you disconnect an account.

11. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted storage of social access tokens, and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data against unauthorized access.

12. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your data / account
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Receive a copy of your data (portability)
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Sweden: IMY)

To exercise these rights, email info@blazewinghq.com.

13. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Blazewing after changes means you accept the updated policy.
